2 new companies in Business Unit Aviation

Breda, October 14th 2015 – SK FireSafety Group (SK) expands its Business Unit Aviation with 2 companies: Team Aero Services in Seattle, USA and Destini Berhad in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  With this total of 5 companies SK offers a wide range of possibilities in life safety to the Aviation sector.

Team Aero Services (TAS) services emergency evacuation equipment. They repair and service evacuation slides, slide/rafts, life rafts, life preservers and their related components. Its is a  D.O.T. approved company to perform hydrostatic testing of cylinders. The repair and inspection procedures strictly follow FAA, EASA and D.O.T. regulations.

Besides that Destini Berhad in Kuala Lumpur has started a joint venture with Avia Technique in Malaysia: Destini Avia Technique. Destini is experienced in military aviation and together with Avia Technique they will focus on the life safety equipment in civil aviation. One of the big customers that will be served is Air Asia, the equivalent of EasyJet in Asia.

Responding even better to customer needs with complete fire protection program

Just as Hugen in the Netherlands and Meridian and Avia Technique in the U.K. both companies will operate under Business Unit Director Chris Wright. “A solid addition to the fine list of companies that already form SK. In strategic terms, this makes the group stronger and through knowledge and shared experience a ‘win-win’ situation will arise, according to Wright.

According to SK, Team Aero Services and Destini Behrad are an easy fit for the Aviation activities. The management believes that joining SK allows for further strengthening growth, improved capabilities and the ability to provide customers with even better service in the future
